As a sdukʷalbixʷ (Snoqualmie), Canadian, and mixed European artist and designer, Taylor Cameron centers connection to culture, community, land, and contemporary Indigenous life within her creative practice. A graduate of Western Washington University with a Bachelor’s degree in Design and a minor in American Indian Studies, Cameron works across illustration, branding, packaging, public art, and large-scale environmental design. Her practice combines hand-drawn organic forms, bold color, and contemporary interpretations of Coast Salish visual language, informed by her ongoing reconnection with Snoqualmie culture and txʷəlsučid (Lushootseed) language learning.

Cameron’s work often begins with research, observation, and personal connection, translating ideas about place, resilience, community, and cultural continuity into accessible visual forms. She is interested in how design can create visibility for Indigenous perspectives while honoring the knowledge and relationships behind the imagery. Through both personal and commissioned work, she creates contemporary artwork that connects people to culture, land, and one another while continuing to learn, grow, and develop her own visual language.

Cameron’s work has included commissions and collaborations with the Snoqualmie Tribe, 4Culture, Friends of Waterfront Park, Plymouth Housing, GE Vernova, AISES, Eastside Fire & Rescue, and other regional organizations. Her work has been recognized through design competitions, public art opportunities, and community-based projects, including being named one of four finalists for the 2026 FIFA Seattle poster design competition. She continues to develop work that brings Indigenous perspectives into contemporary design while creating opportunities for cultural visibility, connection, and storytelling.
